Baylis Medical Technologies Inc. is a leading developer and manufacturer of innovative medical devices in the fields of radiology and cardiovascular. We are currently seeking a highly skilled Principal Research and Development Engineer to join our team.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a talented engineer to assist with the development of novel devices for minimally invasive procedures, including procedures in interventional radiology and vascular interventions. The successful candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering and experience working in medical devices with a focus on product development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conceive and develop novel devices for minimally invasive procedures
  • Work with the regulatory department to obtain product approvals
  • Support the development of intellectual property within the company
  • Support Research and Development sustaining activities as they arise on commercial production lines
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
  • ~8+ years of related experience in engineering
  • Experience working in medical devices with a focus on product development
  • Excellent aptitude for mechanical engineering design
  • Strong hypothesis-driven experimental design and statistical analysis skills
  • Ability to independently develop and adapt work plans based on vague or changing project goals
  • Strong interest in biomedical technology
  • Dynamic, flexible approach to work with a results-oriented attitude
