Job Title: Senior Research and Development Engineer

Baylis Medical Technologies Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Senior Research and Development Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our research and development team, you will be responsible for leading the development of innovative medical devices in the fields of radiology and cardiovascular.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development of new medical devices from concept to commercialization
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate into every stage of product development
  • Develop and maintain intellectual property within the company
  • Provide technical leadership to junior engineering staff
  • Support and lead research and development sustaining projects on commercial production lines
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering
  • 6+ years of experience in an engineering role
  • Knowledge of risk management as per ISO 14971
  • Ability to independently develop and adapt work plans based on vague or changing project goals
  • Strong hypothesis-driven experimental design and statistical analysis skills
  • Demonstrated experience in creative engineering design
  • Strong interest in biomedical technology
  • Dynamic, flexible approach to work with a results-oriented attitude
