Our state-of-the-art, multi-modality clinics are growing, and we are in search of part-time qualified and registered, or eligible for registration, Cardiac Ultrasound Specialist (Echocardiography Technologist) to enhance our expanding outpatient clinic.

As a Cardiac Ultrasound Specialist (Echocardiography Technologist), you will utilize advanced cardiac ultrasound technology to conduct diagnostic imaging while ensuring patient comfort and safety. Your responsibilities will include explaining procedures, positioning patients accurately, and adjusting equipment to capture optimal images. You will work closely with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to analyze images, maintain comprehensive records, and contribute to exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform standard cardiac ultrasound procedures, including echocardiography studies and measurements, providing preliminary assessments using Encapture software for review by the Radiologist/Cardiologist.
  • Prepare patients for procedures by clearly explaining the process and positioning them appropriately.
  • Ensure patient safety throughout the examination by closely monitoring their condition and promptly addressing any potential emergencies, adhering to facility policies and procedures.
  • Position patients effectively for optimal imaging outcomes.
  • Evaluate images for quality and completeness, ensuring all necessary views are captured.
  • Identify normal and abnormal anatomy and communicate findings to radiologists or physicians.
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure patient care and safety.
Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited program in Cardiac Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
  • RDCS registered with Sonography Canada (required).
  • Proven ability to conduct cardiac sonographic examinations in accordance with established protocols and standards.
  • Capacity to innovate in data evaluation and decision-making.

  • Ability to foster effective communication and collaboration.
