Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Echocardiographer to join our team at the Peter Munk Cardiac Centre. As an Echocardiographer, you will be responsible for performing echocardiograms on a complex patient population, using state-of-the-art technology to aid in patient diagnosis and treatment. You will work in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to provide exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Perform ultrasound imaging procedures to aid in patient diagnosis and treatment
- Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain ultrasound and echocardiography equipment
- Prepare written and electronic reports to document procedures and test results
- Participate in teaching, educational, research, safety, and quality improvement programs
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide optimal patient care
- Completion of a recognized post-diploma Cardiovascular Principles and Instrumentation (C.P.I.) program
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (B.C.L.S.) certification
- Minimum of two years recent cardiac ultrasound experience
- Excellent problem recognition and problem-solving skills
- Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills
- Registration with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO)
- Registration with Sonography Canada or the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS)
