Cardiac Care Specialist Opportunity

Humber River Health is seeking a highly skilled Cardiac Care Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our interprofessional team, you will provide specialized and advanced nursing care for patients with cardiac conditions.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct, specialized cardiac care and consultation to patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Collaborate with the Medicine and Cardiology team to identify goals of care and advance end-of-life care planning.
  • Develop and implement clinical service programs to improve patient outcomes.
  • Engage in research and scholarly activities to advance the field of cardiac nursing.
  • Provide leadership and education to the interprofessional team on best practices in cardiac care.
Requirements:
  • Masters Degree in Nursing and completion of an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Program required.
  • Current registration in the Extended Class (NP) in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario required.
  • Member of the Registered Nurses Association of Ontario preferred, member of NPAO required.
  • Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification required.
