About This Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Ultrasound Sonographer to join our team at Sinai Health. As a key member of our General and Obstetrical Ultrasound departments, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the advancement of medical imaging.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform a variety of ultrasound imaging procedures, including obstetrical, gynecological, abdominal, vascular, small parts, and neonatal exams.
  • Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Prepare and document patient reports, including written and electronic records.
  • Participate in teaching, educational, research, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive patient care.
Requirements
  • Completion of an accredited degree or post-diploma Ultrasound program, or recognized equivalent.
  • Registration with Sonography Canada and the College of Medical Radiation & Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO).
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
  • 1 year of recent experience in a related field.
  • Demonstrated commitment to Continuing Medical Education (CME) credits.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Registration with the American Registry of Diagnostic Sonographers (ARDMS) in Abdomen (AB) and Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB).
  • Experience in vascular, neurosonography, and fetal assessment modalities.
Skills and Knowledge
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and ability to train in various ultrasound-related examinations and procedures.
  • Strong critical thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and multitask with a high level of accuracy.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to demonstrate sensitivity in intimate patient contact situations.
