Job Summary
The University Health Network is seeking a skilled Cardiac Sonographer to join our team at the Peter Munk Cardiac Centre. As a key member of our cardiovascular care team, you will be responsible for performing echocardiograms and other ultrasound imaging procedures to aid in patient diagnosis and treatment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality echocardiograms and other ultrasound imaging procedures to aid in patient diagnosis and treatment
- Operate and maintain ultrasound and echocardiography equipment to ensure optimal performance
- Prepare and document patient reports and test results
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide optimal patient care
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and educational programs to enhance patient care and outcomes
Requirements
- Completion of a recognized post-diploma program in cardiovascular principles and instrumentation
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification
- Minimum of two years recent cardiac ultrasound experience
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Registration with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO)
- Registration with Sonography Canada or the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS)
