Bombardier Transportation GmbH is seeking a highly skilled Commercial Legal Counsel to join our team. As a key member of our legal department, you will play a crucial role in providing guidance and support to our business units.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with internal clients to resolve complex commercial disputes and negotiate agreements;
- Manage litigation files worldwide, supervising external counsel and developing effective strategies;
- Attend depositions, trials, and mediations as needed;
- Handle discovery and e-discovery phases of complex litigation matters;
- Report to the management team on litigation progress and strategy;
- Assume a leading role in risk management and provide guidance to internal clients;
- Use leadership and soft skills to influence decisions and outcomes;
- Practicing member of a Canadian province or US state bar, preferably the Quebec Bar;
- At least 5 years of relevant expertise in commercial litigation, preferably at a renowned law firm;
- Leadership skills, autonomy, and excellent judicial instincts;
- Ability to evolve in a highly technical environment with engineering/aerospace concepts;
- Comfortable managing a busy schedule and traveling for business;
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and drafting skills;
- Interest in new technologies and ability to work in a constantly evolving environment;
- Perfectly bilingual (French, English) both orally and in writing;
