Qualifications and Requirements

We are seeking a highly qualified individual with a Master's degree in a related field, such as health sciences, community development, or health management, and at least five years of experience in program evaluation, community capacity building, or a related discipline. A strong background in public engagement and facilitation is mandatory, and training in cultural safety and equity, diversity, and inclusion is considered an asset.

Key Skills and Abilities
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of the BC and Canadian healthcare systems and health research landscape
  • Experience in research conduct is an asset
  • Expertise in public engagement strategies and methods, including certification from the International Association of Public Participation - Planning and Techniques
  • Proven project management skills, with experience in planning, implementation, reporting, monitoring, and evaluation
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse populations, including First Nations, minority groups, and marginalized and vulnerable populations
  • Excellent communication skills, including public speaking, writing, and interpersonal communication
  • Ability to develop and foster relationships and partnerships
  • Skilled in negotiation, conflict management, and consensus building
  • Innovative, creative, flexible, and adaptable
  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software and online meeting software
  • Valid BC Driver's License
  • Willingness to travel provincially and nationally
  • Physical ability to perform the duties of the job
