About the Role:
The Director of Human Resources will play a critical role in providing executive-level HR leadership to Macp, aligning the company's strategic vision with HR initiatives. This includes influencing and driving various activities across the entire employee life cycle, including talent acquisition strategy, workforce and leadership development and planning, employee and labour relations, employee engagement, performance management, professional accountability, and diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI).
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic advice to the Chief of Police and all of Command on human resources matters.
- Develop and implement HR initiatives that support the company's strategic vision.
- Lead and build high-performing teams to drive business results.
- Implement new technologies, programs, processes, and initiatives informed by a deep knowledge of legal standards and overall best practices.
- Facilitate and collaborate to achieve outcomes in a complex, highly operational environment.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in human resources management, business administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive HR experience with significant experience in leading and building teams.
- Proven experience in providing advice and guidance to executives on human resources matters.
- Strong analytical skills and experience in strategic planning and data-driven decision-making.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certified Human Resources Leader (CHRL or CHRE) designation.
- Master's in Industrial Relations (MIR).
