About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Sales Manager to join our team at Rubber Group. As a Sales Manager, you will be responsible for managing regional rubber and plastics accounts in the United States and key accounts designated to you.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and Execute Sales Strategies: Develop and execute sales strategies for assigned accounts to drive revenue growth and expand market share.
  2. Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Collaborate with other account managers for accounts that span multiple regions/product lines to ensure seamless execution and maximize sales opportunities.
  3. Identify and Pursue New Business Opportunities: Find, track, and close on opportunities spanning multiple industries to drive business growth and expansion.
  4. Communicate Value Proposition: Communicate clearly the value Rubber Group and its products bring to its clients to build strong relationships and drive sales growth.
  5. Customer Relationship Management: Listen to customer needs and translate that into opportunities to build strong relationships and drive sales growth.
  6. Market and Competitive Intelligence: Collect and compile customer, market, and competitive information to inform sales strategies and drive business growth.
  7. Sales Forecasting: Develop and update sales forecasts for planning to ensure accurate sales projections and drive business growth.
  8. Relationship Building: Build respect and trust between Rubber Group and our clients to facilitate strong relationships and drive sales growth.
  9. Collaboration with Internal Departments: Collaborate with internal departments to meet customer needs and drive sales growth.
  10. Industry Participation: Participate in local industry organizations and attend trade shows relevant to our products to stay up-to-date on industry trends and drive business growth.
  11. Travel Requirements: Travel > 70% of time, including to Rubber Group HQ in Ontario, Canada.
Requirements
  1. Collaboration and Teamwork: Embodies a team player approach with strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
  2. Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Exceptional oral, written, and communication skills. Demonstrates ability to converse in chemical/polymer terminology.
  3. Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree with preference to polymers or related fields. Higher level of education is an asset. Technical understanding of polymers and related materials is preferred. Minimum 5 years of sales or technical sales in the rubber industry.
  4. Motivation and Self-Direction: Self-starter who is capable of working independently while producing results.
  5. Organization and Analytical Skills: Possesses the ability to analyze, collect, and track large amounts of information.

Salary, commission, and bonuses will be established and offered based on experience and capabilities.
