Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Sales Manager Distribution to join our team at Barry Callebaut. As a Sales Manager Distribution, you will be responsible for maintaining and managing existing accounts, maximizing sales margins, and developing effective sales forecasting and planning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Account Management: Maintain and manage existing accounts according to established sales and revenue goals.
  • Sales Margin Maximization: Maximize sales margins according to established goals by monitoring/assisting with A/R contracts problems, credit hold issues balances, sales price quotes, customer contacts, production and supply chain problem resolution, market information and new product development projects, etc.
  • Sales Presentations and Closing: Create and deliver sales presentations and close sales in an effective manner.
  • Sales Forecasting and Planning: Develop and maintain effective sales forecasting, planning and territory plans.
  • Customer Research and Development: Research new customer needs and develop an application of products and services in an effective manner.
  • Sales Expense Budget Management: Manage sales expense budget.
  • Customer Service: Ensures that a high professional level of customer service is maintained via resolution of complaints, troubleshooting product supply chain problems, client visits, industry networking, participation in trade shows, etc.
  • Product Safety: Help maintain product safety by adopting behaviors meeting the established requirements.
Non-Essential Functions
  • Industry Awareness: Maintain up-to-date awareness of activities and industry trends and technical developments that effect target markets.

  • Experience: 10 years of sales experience in a food related industry with distributors.

  • Professional Conduct: Exercises professional conduct and sound judgment in all related areas.
  • Travel: Ability to travel as needed.
