As an HVAC/Hydronic Technical Sales Representative, your primary responsibility will be to nurture and expand the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning market. Your objective is to deliver exceptional customer service by offering expert advice, technical product insights, recommendations, and installation assistance. Furthermore, you will assess customer needs and promote both existing and new HVAC products to achieve Profit Centre sales goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Exhibit in-depth knowledge of HVAC products and their applications
- Assist customers with technical inquiries regarding HVAC products and installations for the brands we represent
- Engage in manufacturer installation and troubleshooting training
- Diagnose and develop solutions for customer challenges
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with vendors
- Provide quotes, technical assistance, and literature to customers to foster strong relationships and meet sales objectives
- Identify market opportunities and potential new customers
- Advise on new products, services, and market trends to customers and the Profit Centre Team
- Participate in trade shows, training sessions, and vendor product meetings
- Adhere to all safety regulations
- Execute additional tasks as assigned by the Profit Centre Manager
Minimum Qualifications:
- Grade 12 diploma or equivalent; College and/or University degree is an asset
- Exceptional customer service, communication, and problem-solving abilities
- Strong relationship-building skills with customers, vendors, and colleagues
- Ability to learn and utilize the relevant software systems for order processing
- Experience in a fast-paced environment with meticulous attention to detail
- Demonstrated work ethic and high standards of integrity
- Capability to work independently and collaboratively
- Excellent time management and organizational skills to meet tight deadlines
- Possession of a valid Driver's License
- Willingness to visit job sites
- Able to occasionally travel outside Canada for manufacturer training
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience or knowledge of hydronics or HVAC products
- Proficiency in using the Internet as a resource for problem-solving and finding alternative solutions for customers
- Experience with Infor M3, Word, Excel, and Outlook
- HRAI, HVAC trades training course certificates, or similar qualifications
