Job Summary

The Halton District School Board is seeking a highly skilled and organized Administrative Support Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our support staff, you will provide administrative assistance to our elementary and secondary schools, as well as our administrative offices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to schools and administrative offices, including answering phones, responding to emails, and maintaining student databases.
  • Assist with day-to-day office functions, such as reception, attendance, and filing.
  • Provide frontline support to students, parents, and the general school community.
  • Operate office equipment, including copiers, printers, and scanners.
  • Assist with shipping and receiving, including sorting mail and packages.
Requirements
  • Grade 12 diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of one year of related experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Outstanding communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in computer technology, including Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
Working Conditions

This is a part-time, on-call position, requiring flexibility and adaptability. The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines.
