Overview of the Role

The Manager of Partner Relations will play a crucial role in supporting the Accounting+ initiative, a strategic marketing effort designed to reshape the perceptions of diverse students regarding the accounting profession. This position will work closely with the Vice President of Operations and Talent Initiatives to enhance existing partnerships and cultivate new ones for the Accounting+ initiative.

In addition to nurturing relationships with our esteemed Accounting+ partners, this role involves coordinating and facilitating external collaborations and assisting in the execution of partner programs. The Manager will oversee projects from their inception to completion, including a volunteer initiative that connects accounting professionals from partner organizations with high school classrooms nationwide. Responsibilities will include generating reports, establishing regular reporting cycles, engaging partners, conducting research, coordinating proposals, managing contractual agreements, and developing presentations to showcase the initiative's impact.

Key Responsibilities

Partnership Development and Maintenance

  1. Act as the primary liaison for the Accounting+ partnerships at AICPA, fostering ongoing relationships while identifying and developing new partnerships.
  2. Collaborate with the VP of Operations and Talent Initiatives to enhance the commitment and engagement of current partners.
  3. Research and cultivate new partnerships through relationship building, developing a portfolio of potential Accounting+ partners.
  4. Conduct analytical research to provide summarized reports on partnership engagement.
  5. Work with internal communications and marketing teams to create tailored communication and engagement strategies for prospective partners.
  6. Prepare written communications and reports for funding partners and internal staff.
  7. Leverage events to attract potential partners.
  8. Utilize AICPA's subject matter experts to strengthen relationships with supporters and prospects.
  9. Maintain accurate and complete partner information and data.
  10. Track member engagements and interactions using Salesforce and the 'Catalyst by Blackbaud' platform to generate reports and identify trends.

Project Coordination

  1. Manage contracts with funders and partners, ensuring adherence to contractual commitments throughout project execution.
  2. Collaborate with the Senior Manager of Administration and Finance to monitor the use of partnership funds.
  3. Provide administrative support to the VP of Operations & Talent Initiatives, including calendar management, meeting coordination, and follow-up tasks.
  4. Assist in providing logistical support for in-person and virtual events, including registration and coordination for conferences and meetings.

Presentations and Data Analysis

  1. Create visually engaging presentations to convey key performance metrics, trends, and insights to stakeholders and partners.
  2. Analyze and interpret research and data to provide actionable insights through effective visualization techniques.

Required Experience and Education

  1. Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as fundraising or business.
  2. 3-5 years of experience in a relationship management role focused on value delivery, such as membership, fundraising, or sales support.
  3. Experience with Salesforce.
  4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  5. Familiarity with digital, social media, and emerging online channels.
