Manager of Professional Practice: Acute Care Programs

Job Summary:
The University Health Network (UHN) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager of Professional Practice to lead the development and implementation of professional practice standards in Acute Care programs. This is a key role in ensuring that our patients receive the highest quality care, and our staff are equipped with the knowledge and skills to deliver it.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement professional practice standards in Acute Care programs
- Lead the development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives
- Collaborate with other site DPPs, MPPs, and practice leaders to ensure alignment and integration of practice standards
- Supervise Advanced Practice Nurse Educators (APNEs) and maintain strong linkages with UHN's practice-based education office
- Establish and maintain quality improvement initiatives and work closely with the DPP and other practice and operational colleagues to promote a vision of practice excellence
Requirements:
- Master's degree
- Current registration and in good standing with a Regulatory Health Professions College or equivalent
- Minimum of 8+ years practical and related experience
- Minimum of five years demonstrated supervisory or leadership experience
- Experience in developing, implementing, and maintaining professional practice standards and quality control measures in a healthcare environment
