Manager of Professional Practice: Acute Care Programs

The University Health Network (UHN) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Professional Practice Manager to lead the development and implementation of professional practice standards in Acute Care Programs. This is a key role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and advancing the organization's mission.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement professional practice standards and guidelines for Acute Care Programs
- Lead the development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety
- Collaborate with clinical leaders and staff to identify and address practice gaps and areas for improvement
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals
- Provide leadership and guidance to Advanced Practice Nurse Educators (APNEs) and other staff members
- Stay up-to-date with the latest research and evidence-based practices in Acute Care Programs
- Contribute to the development and implementation of organizational policies and procedures
- Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g. nursing, healthcare administration)
- Current registration and in good standing with a Regulatory Health Professions College or equivalent
- Minimum 8+ years of practical and related experience in Acute Care Programs
- Minimum 5 years of demonstrated supervisory or leadership experience
- Experience in developing and implementing professional practice standards and quality control measures in a healthcare environment
- Skilled in program evaluation and leveraging data analytics
- Project Management experience preferred
