Michael Garron Hospital is seeking a skilled Physiotherapist to join our team. As a Physiotherapist - Acute Care Specialist, you will be responsible for providing assessment, consultation, and education to patients, family members, and the interprofessional team within our in-patient units.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in program development and evaluation
- Actively participate in regular team meetings
- Liaise with community-based providers
- Advocate on behalf of clients and their families
- Participate in inter-professional patient and family conferences as needed
Requirements
- Registration and license to practice with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario and in good standing
- Recent experience in acute care hospital-based medicine and geriatric care preferred
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Motivated to practice in accordance with the mission and vision of Michael Garron Hospital
- Demonstrated commitment to continuing education and professional development
- Excellent work performance and attendance
