Accounts Payable Specialist for North America

The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for managing the daily Accounts Payable operations for the GBS Sourcing Administration Accounts Payable Team within a specified region, ensuring that services are delivered accurately, efficiently, and punctually.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the global accounts payable process within a designated area, ensuring effectiveness and cost-efficiency.
  • Ensure adherence to regulations, accounting standards, and established operational procedures within the accounts payable function.
  • Conduct quality assessments and guarantee the delivery of accounts payable processes as outlined in framework agreements and/or Service Level Agreements.
  • Respond to inquiries and assist employees, managers, and finance colleagues to ensure the accuracy and completeness of information provided.
  • Contribute to process enhancements and consistently seek improvements within your area of responsibility.
  • Assist with external and internal financial audits and address any audit findings.
  • Comply with controlling standards and other company policies, including legal regulations.
  • Participate in identifying and implementing effective solutions within a matrix organization.

Qualifications:

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in Finance or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in an Accounts Payable position.
  • Preferred experience with systems such as SAP (R/3 and S/4), Invoice Track, or similar Accounts Payable ERP, Ariba, and Office 365.
  • Proficient in English with strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Adaptable and flexible, able to adjust to changes and new systems or methods.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Strategically agile, with a comprehensive understanding of business components and their interrelations.
  • Strong alignment with our core beliefs and behaviors.
  • Focus on personal leadership competencies.
  • Additional language skills are a plus.
