About the Role:

The Accounts Payable Specialist at Accoravillage will play a crucial role in the financial operations by supporting the Accounts Payable & Purchasing Administrator. This position involves managing the Accounts Payable & Purchasing processes, along with assisting in Day Audit and various Accounting tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitating the Accounts Payable & Purchasing operations, which includes:
    • Reviewing and processing purchase orders and disbursement requisitions.
    • Completing necessary credit applications.
    • Printing vouchers and keeping the voucher log updated.
    • Processing employee expense claims.
    • Reconciling vendor accounts and resolving discrepancies.
    • Managing the purchasing email inbox.
    • Organizing the accounts payable filing system and performing scanning tasks.
    • Sorting incoming correspondence and mailing completed cheque runs.
    • Entering invoices into the accounting software.
    • Assisting with additional accounts payable duties as needed.
  • Supporting the Day Audit and other Accounting functions, including:
    • Assisting with filing related to the day audit.
    • Contributing to reporting and data entry tasks as required.
  • Other responsibilities may be assigned periodically.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in clerical work, bookkeeping, accounts payable, or accounting.
  • Strong computer proficiency, with adaptability to new systems and excellent typing and data entry skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and effective time management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, is advantageous.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with various internal teams and external partners.
  • Capacity to work collaboratively within a team and independently with minimal supervision.
  • Willingness to maintain a flexible work schedule, which may include weekends and holidays.
