We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Analyst to join our team. This individual will be responsible for processing and recording daily accounting operations and participating in the creation and implementation of tools to improve our accounting and financial processes.
Key Responsibilities- Accounting Operations: Prepare, review, and maintain all accounting documents as part of the accounting process, including accounts receivable and payable, banking transactions, and all activities related to monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare GST/QST reports and perform bank and financial reconciliations.
- Overdue Accounts: Monitor and manage overdue accounts.
- Data Entry: Enter and validate data between procurement and accounting systems.
- Financial Analysis: Prepare direct payment transactions in accordance with company guidelines and actively participate in the preparation and analysis of month-end financial close, as well as in the analysis of financial statements, in compliance with accounting standards.
- Forecasting and Budgeting: Participate in the preparation, execution, and analysis of monthly forecasting process results and participate in the preparation and analysis of the annual budget.
- Audit Support: Assist in the preparation and execution of the annual audit with auditors.
- Ad Hoc Analysis: Produce various ad hoc financial analyses to meet the needs of the management team.
- Education: Hold a bachelor's degree in accounting or finance. A combination of relevant education and experience may be considered.
- Experience: Have at least three (3) years of relevant experience.
- Technical Skills: Be comfortable with ERPs (Enterprise Resource Planning systems) and have advanced proficiency in MS Excel. Proficiency in Power BI is an asset.
- Soft Skills: Be able to work independently in a startup environment, be organized, and have an eye for detail.
