Role Responsibilities
We are seeking a Financial Analyst I to become a part of our Group FP&A team.
As a Financial Analyst I, reporting to the Manager of Group FP&A, your contributions will be vital in assessing the financial performance of our global operations. You will be responsible for preparing and consolidating financial data and engaging in various analyses that will inform senior management's strategic decisions.
Key Duties Include:
- Generating diverse reports and conducting ad-hoc analyses utilizing both current and historical financial and operational data to support senior management's decision-making process.
- Collaborating with the Investor Relations and MD&A teams to assist in the quarterly earnings process, including key messaging and internal statistics.
- Providing support to team members in executing special projects and managing daily responsibilities.
- Understanding critical data sources and enhancing the control effectiveness of reports to ensure accuracy while providing a historical perspective on various financial and operational Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for senior management.
- Coordinating various work planning activities and ensuring the availability of stakeholders for quarter-end responsibilities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related analytical field.
- One to three years of experience in finance or accounting.
- Progressing towards a CPA or CFA designation; possession of these credentials is advantageous.
- Experience in the insurance sector is a plus.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with individuals at all organizational levels, including management and external partners.
- Bilingual proficiency in French and English, both spoken and written.
- A proactive attitude towards learning, with a proven ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent organizational skills and a keen attention to detail.
