Lead Project Manager

CB Canada is seeking a dedicated Lead Project Manager to oversee critical initiatives within the Government Services Sector.

Lead Project Manager – Role Overview

  • Develop comprehensive project frameworks, defining responsibilities and tracking progress.
  • Implement cross-ministry projects utilizing established project management methodologies in partnership with Ministry Representatives.
  • Contribute to integrated project plans, ensuring alignment of all key milestones, deliverables, and interdependencies.
  • Manage project scope, risks, and maintain project documentation.
  • Identify and allocate resources effectively to achieve project milestones as per the approved plan.
  • Collaborate with Ministry Leads to ensure that project outputs align with their specific needs.
  • Proactively communicate risks, issues, and project status across teams.
  • Prepare project status reports for Ministry Leads, facilitating governance discussions.
  • Define and establish project milestones based on project requirements.
  • Generate and assess project status reports and performance metrics in accordance with the integrated plan.
  • Participate in the PMO Project Review Committee.
  • Provide leadership and management for the successful execution of projects.
  • Utilize strategic thinking to enhance organizational effectiveness, considering risk and change management.
  • Engage in consultation and negotiation to foster consensus among stakeholders.
  • Identify challenges and propose effective solutions.
  • Demonstrate strong communication skills to convey complex information clearly.
  • Familiarity with telecommunications systems is advantageous.
  • Extensive project management experience to lead and coordinate large-scale initiatives.

Lead Project Manager – Essential Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years in Project Management.
  • Proficient in project management methodologies.
  • Experience managing large projects with documented outcomes and lessons learned.
  • Skilled in various project management approaches.
  • Proficient in managing RAID logs.
  • Strong time management and prioritization skills.
  • Expertise in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Gantt charts).
  • Strong negotiation and political awareness.
  • Conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to assess the impact of decisions on various stakeholders.
  • Understanding of organizational structures.
  • Ability to build and maintain productive relationships.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Experience in creating project status reports and dashboards.
  • Ability to facilitate meetings effectively with diverse groups.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite and Outlook.
  • Skilled in issue resolution and documentation.
  • Knowledge transfer and artifact management capabilities.
