POSITION SUMMARY:

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in project renovations, including tasks such as roof repairs, wall replacements, and other structural enhancements.


  • Oversee comprehensive project timelines and financial plans, ensuring accurate management reporting across various initiatives primarily located on the West Coast.
  • Generate detailed project status updates that cover timelines, budgets, safety protocols, and any outstanding issues.
  • Assess contractor performance regarding budget adherence and schedule compliance.
  • Develop precise user criteria documentation for facility-related project activities.
  • Create detailed scopes of work for the acquisition of architectural, engineering, and construction services.
  • Supervise Project Engineers in reviewing specifications, utility standards, and design drawings while coordinating with clients.
  • Facilitate and coordinate site visits for architects and engineers, addressing contractor inquiries as needed.
  • Oversee the submission and review process for shop drawings and other project-related documents.
  • Participate in job site meetings with contractors and consultants to ensure project milestones are met.
  • Conduct preliminary evaluations of vendor and contractor payment requests, confirming project progress aligns with approved financial plans.
  • Assess, negotiate, and provide recommendations on proposed change orders and directives.
  • Ensure the contractor's Quality Control program is effectively implemented and adheres to project specifications.

Qualifications:
Required Skills:
  • Proven experience in project management within construction or engineering firms.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple construction projects concurrently.
  • Experience with projects valued at $M or more.
  • Strong technical understanding of design and construction engineering, as well as schedule management.
  • Experience leading teams of project engineers, construction coordinators, and safety professionals.
  • Background in constructing light industrial facilities, warehouses, or office spaces.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project).

Preferred Skills:
  • Knowledge of project scheduling and estimating techniques.
  • General awareness of construction safety standards and regulations.
