Position Overview

We are actively seeking new or recent graduates to participate in our Management Development Program. This full-time, salaried role comes with a comprehensive benefits package and the potential for profit sharing.

Successful candidates may be required to relocate within Canada for training purposes, with relocation assistance provided. Opportunities are available nationwide.

Role Responsibilities:

As a Management Trainee, you will navigate through a structured 5-phase program designed to familiarize you with every facet of our operations—from logistics and sales to management and employee development. You will cultivate your own sales territory while delivering exceptional customer service. Throughout this journey, you will receive mentorship and support from experienced managers and colleagues across Canada, paving the way for a successful management career at EMCO.

Program Structure:

Phase 1: Warehouse Logistics – Understand our product offerings and the supply chain process.

Phase 2: Counter Operations – Engage in customer service, sales, order management, inventory control, and financial processes.

Phase 3: Inside Sales – Transition from customer service to managing significant projects, including interpreting blueprints and preparing material lists.

Phase 4: Outside Sales/Account Management – Discover new business opportunities, negotiate contracts, and foster relationships with customers and vendors.

Phase 5: Supervisor – Lead a team, provide strategic direction, mentor peers, and oversee business operations.

Upon completing the training phases, you will be well-equipped to take on managerial responsibilities at one of our Canadian Profit Center locations.

Candidate Qualifications
  • A university degree or college diploma in any field of study
  • A positive attitude and a results-driven approach
  • A strong desire for continuous learning and personal growth
  • Exceptional leadership, customer service, and organizational skills
  • A solid work ethic and a commitment to integrity
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively
  • Strong communication skills, capable of building and maintaining relationships with customers, vendors, and team members
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • A keen interest in sales
  • A valid driver's license
