ROLE SUMMARY:

The Central East Prehospital Care Program (CEPCP) is dedicated to providing comprehensive medical oversight and delegation, alongside the creation and execution of ongoing education and Quality Assurance/Continuous Quality Improvement initiatives for all stakeholders involved.

Our educational offerings encompass a wide range, from CPR and Standard First Aid training to advanced certifications in PCP, PCP IV, and ACP, as well as research initiatives.

Under the supervision of the Clinical Manager, the Facilitator/Coordinator is a seasoned professional in prehospital care, possessing expertise in clinical practices, QA/CQI, and adult education methodologies.

This role requires a self-driven individual committed to professional growth and excellence.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Facilitator/Coordinator will:
  • Design and implement educational programs utilizing various technologies for both remote and in-person delivery to stakeholders.
  • Lead process improvement initiatives and coach internal teams to enhance program delivery and compliance activities.
  • Support the training experience and ensure the certification and skill maintenance of providers.
  • Participate in the recruitment process for instructional staff.
  • Act as a regular liaison with stakeholders to ensure program alignment and effectiveness.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

Candidates must possess:
  • Paramedic training and qualifications (PCP, PCP IV, or ACP).
  • An Ambulance and Emergency Care Diploma.
  • Proven knowledge of adult education principles and effective teaching/learning strategies.
  • Demonstrated ability to instruct, develop, and deliver training across all operational areas.
  • Strong independent work ethic and excellent teamwork capabilities, with outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • A satisfactory performance and attendance record.
  • A commitment to core values of Inclusion, Compassion, Innovation, Teamwork, and Joy.
  • An understanding of PHIPA and confidentiality standards.
  • Knowledge of current legislation governing prehospital care delivery.
  • A commitment to Lakeridge Health's safety programs and practices, including participation in regular in-service education.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Ideal candidates will also have:
  • A university degree (BSc).
  • Certification in adult education.
  • HSFO BLS Instructor Certification.
  • Experience or certifications in QA/CQI.
ADDITIONAL SKILLS:

Experience and proficiency in:
  • E-learning platforms.
  • High-fidelity simulation and/or virtual reality training.
  • Various multimedia training tools.
