Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Home Support Worker to provide essential personal care and support to clients in their own residences. This role is crucial in enhancing the quality of life for individuals who require assistance with daily activities.

Qualifications
  • Education: Completion of secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required.
  • Experience: A minimum of 7 months to less than 1 year of relevant experience is preferred.
Work Environment
  • Non-smoking environment.
  • Work is conducted in the employer's or client's home.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide bedside and personal care to clients.
  • Administer prescribed medications as needed.
  • Assist clients with bathing and personal hygiene tasks.
  • Support clients in regular physical activities, such as walking.
  • Facilitate feeding or assist clients during meals.
  • Offer companionship and emotional support.
Certifications Required
  • CPR Certificate.
  • First Aid Certificate.
Safety and Security
  • Completion of a criminal record check is mandatory.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to perform bending, crouching, and kneeling tasks.
  • Capable of a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
  • Willingness to handle repetitive tasks.
  • Ability to lift weights up to 9 kg (20 lbs).
