Position Overview

As a Home Support Worker with JV Private Household, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients. This position is designed for individuals who are dedicated to providing compassionate care and support in a home environment.

Employment Details
  • Work Term: Permanent
  • Work Language: English
  • Hours: 30 hours per week
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: Will train
Work Environment
  • Optional accommodation available at no charge on a live-in basis. Note: This is NOT a condition of employment.
  • Work in the client's home.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide bedside and personal care to clients.
  • Administer prescribed medications.
  • Assist clients with bathing and personal hygiene routines.
  • Encourage and assist in regular physical activities, such as walking.
  • Support clients during meal times, including feeding assistance.
  • Plan and prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs.
  • Offer companionship and emotional support.
  • Deliver personal care services with respect and dignity.
Qualifications
  • First Aid Certificate is required.

  • Completion of a criminal record check is mandatory.

Support for Indigenous Communities
  • Participate in initiatives that support Indigenous individuals.
  • Provide mentorship and networking opportunities.

  • Facilitate access to Elders for guidance.
