Position Overview:

As a vital member of the Alberta Health Services team, the Administrative Support III role is designed for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment. This position operates under the guidance of the Rural Allied Health manager and is essential for ensuring seamless operations within ambulatory clinics and community services.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide comprehensive clerical assistance to enhance the efficiency of the local health team.
  2. Independently manage and prioritize appointments for both adult and pediatric Allied Health programs.
  3. Facilitate the scheduling of client appointments and community referrals.
  4. Perform general reception duties for clients attending their appointments.
  5. Oversee the creation and management of files, along with the ordering of necessary supplies and equipment.

The Administrative Support team operates across multiple rural sites, supporting various health programs.

Role Requirements:

The ideal candidate will possess advanced administrative skills and specialized knowledge to effectively support complex departmental procedures and initiatives.

Essential Qualifications:

Completion of Grade 12 or an equivalent qualification is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

A certificate or diploma in an administrative health care program or a related field is preferred. Experience with scheduling systems such as Millennium and Soprano is advantageous.
