Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive initiatives to promote HRIC housing programs to landlords
  • Identify available housing units within the local area
  • Establish collaborations with landlords to support program participants
  • Educate on eviction prevention strategies and tenant rights

Qualifications:

  • Diploma in Social Services, Indigenous Studies, or a related field
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in the housing sector
  • Experience within an Indigenous organization is preferred
  • Awareness of housing challenges from an Indigenous viewpoint
  • Capability to coordinate outreach initiatives with community partners
  • Familiarity with Indigenous culture, the effects of trauma, and community services
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Certifications in Non-violent Crisis Intervention and First Aid/CPR are required
  • A Criminal Reference Check is mandatory
