Indigenous Youth Program Coordinator

Term: FULL-TIME contract with potential for extension

Hours: 40 hours per week, including some weekends

Position Overview:

The Indigenous Youth Program Coordinator will play a pivotal role in managing the execution of initiatives, building collaborations, and crafting programs that honor and sustain Indigenous heritage while catering to the distinct requirements of Indigenous youth. This position entails team leadership, community outreach, and providing support during critical situations.

Primary Duties:
  • Lead and mentor the Indigenous Youth Hub team
  • Create culturally appropriate programs and activities
  • Forge partnerships with local entities and community stakeholders
  • Champion the interests of Indigenous youth in various settings
  • Oversee budget management and ensure adherence to regulations
  • Evaluate program effectiveness and compile reports
Required Qualifications and Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline
  • Experience in Indigenous youth engagement or a related area
  • Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Indigenous cultures and practices
  • Strong networking capabilities and strategic insight
