Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to join our team at SHIPCART DISTRIBUTION SERVICES. As an Administrative Assistant, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our office and supporting our team members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administrative Support
    • Provide administrative assistance to the management team, including scheduling appointments, preparing meeting materials, and maintaining records.
    • Answer and direct phone calls, respond to emails, and manage incoming and outgoing correspondence.
    • Develop and implement administrative procedures to improve office efficiency and productivity.
  • Co-ordination and Organisation
    • Coordinate seminars, conferences, and other events, including arranging logistics, catering, and audio-visual equipment.
    • Supervise and train other administrative staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
    • Establish and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Communication and Customer Service
    • Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external clients, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
    • Develop and maintain relationships with vendors, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
  • Reporting and Analysis
    • Compile and analyze data, statistics, and other information to support business decisions.
    • Prepare and present reports to management, highlighting key findings and recommendations.
    Requirements
    • Education
      • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
    • Experience
      • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in an administrative role.
    • Skills
      • Excellent communication, organisational, and time management skills.
      • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritise tasks effectively.
      • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other administrative software.
    • Supervision
      • 3-4 people.
    • Work Term
      • Permanent.

      • English.
    • Hours
      • 40 hours per week.
