About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Survey Assistant to join our Geomatics Division in Canada and the United States. As a Survey Assistant, you will play a critical role in supporting our team of experienced engineers and technicians on larger scale construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform daily field survey activities, including obtaining survey measurements and staking for infrastructure construction, under the supervision of the Survey Crew Chief.
  • Communicate effectively and regularly with Survey Crew Chief, Field Leads, Project Managers, Professional Land Surveyors, and Client Field Representatives.
  • Interpret design drawings, field data, field sketches, and base maps to ensure accurate and efficient project execution.
  • Travel to project locations as required, with all travel and accommodations provided by Valard Group of Companies.
  • Operate and maintain assigned survey equipment, including ATVs/UTVs/Argos, tools, and materials.
  • Actively promote Valard Group of Companies' Health, Safety, and Environmental Program.
Requirements
  • Previous survey experience in engineering, construction, or industrial surveys.
  • Valid Driver's License and a clean driving record.
  • Technical diploma in Geomatics or Civil Engineering is preferred.
