Position Summary

The Geomatics Division at Valard is looking for dedicated Survey Assistants to support large-scale construction initiatives across North America. This role is essential in providing the spatial services necessary for the effective construction and maintenance of electrical infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct daily field survey operations, including acquiring survey measurements and marking locations for infrastructure projects, under the guidance of the Survey Crew Chief.
  • Maintain clear and consistent communication with the Survey Crew Chief, Field Leads, Project Managers, Professional Land Surveyors, and Client Field Representatives.
  • Interpret and analyze design drawings, field data, sketches, and base maps to ensure accuracy in survey tasks.
  • Travel to various project sites as required.
  • Operate and care for assigned survey equipment, including ATVs, UTVs, and other tools.
  • Promote and adhere to Valard's Health, Safety, and Environmental Program.

Qualifications

  • Experience in survey work related to engineering, construction, or industrial projects is preferred.
  • A valid Driver's License with a clean driving record is required.
  • A technical diploma in Geomatics or Civil Engineering is advantageous.
