About the Medical Clinical Resource TeamThe Clinical Resource Team (CRT) is essential in delivering nursing services to diverse patient groups across various acute medical care programs.
This team consists of LPNs whose shifts are allocated to different clinical units to fulfill staffing needs and organizational requirements as they arise.
Members of the CRT are responsible for a comprehensive range of professional duties, ensuring high-quality care for patients.
All new CRT members undergo a thorough on-site orientation program, guided by seasoned healthcare professionals and educators.
Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Licensed Practical Nurse at Vancouver Coastal Health, you will:
- Operate both independently and collaboratively as part of an interdisciplinary care team, executing the full scope of practical nursing functions for clients with predictable outcomes within a specific area of expertise.
- Engage in activities such as assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and documenting client care, while providing support to clients and their families.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team and, under general supervision, assist the Registered Nurse in caring for clients with unpredictable outcomes or where the complexity of care necessitates advanced knowledge and skills beyond the Licensed Practical Nurse's scope of practice.
Applicants must possess:
- Graduation from a recognized Practical Nurse program or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Current practicing registration as a Licensed Practical Nurse with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
