Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our client’s healthcare team in Vancouver, BC. As an LPN, you will play a crucial role in providing quality patient care and support under the supervision of registered nurses and physicians. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic healthcare environment where your skills and expertise will contribute to improving the health and well-being of our client’s patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Care: Provide direct patient care, including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, dressing wounds, and assisting with personal hygiene as per care plans and nursing protocols.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed medical records of patient information, treatments administered, and observations.
- Collaboration: Work closely with registered nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and comprehensive patient care.
- Education: Educate patients and their families about treatment plans, medications, and disease management to promote patient understanding and compliance.
- Assessment: Conduct thorough assessments of patients' health status and report any changes or concerns to the supervising healthcare team promptly.
- Comfort and Support: Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and their families, demonstrating empathy and understanding.
- Compliance: Adhere to all nursing standards, policies, and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance and patient safety.
Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited Licensed Practical Nursing program.
- Current registration and good standing with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of British Columbia (CLPNBC).
- CPR certification.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
