Business Banking Relationship Manager Trainee

This position is designed for individuals eager to gain expertise in business banking and relationship management. The role involves providing analytical support for credit evaluations, structuring, pricing, and overall assessment of transactions within the designated portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify potential clients and connect them with appropriate resources for their banking needs.
  • Develop an understanding of the local market to foster relationships with key influencers.
  • Build and maintain a network of internal and external contacts to drive business growth.
  • Provide accurate information regarding business banking products and services to clients.
  • Address inquiries and follow established protocols for information requests.
  • Manage and resolve issues or escalate them as necessary.
  • Establish and nurture long-term, profitable relationships to enhance the organization's market share.
  • Analyze data to provide insights and recommendations for strategic problem-solving.
  • Monitor performance metrics and proactively address any challenges.
  • Create regular and ad-hoc reports and dashboards to track progress.
  • Ensure database management aligns with data governance standards.
  • Lead or participate in change management initiatives, including assessments and stakeholder engagement.
  • Develop communication strategies to influence positive behavior changes within the organization.
  • Offer technical support for complex credit transactions and assist team members with day-to-day inquiries.
  • Review credit transactions for compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Construct risk profiles and conduct credit investigations for lending proposals.
  • Assess individual transactions and aggregate portfolio data to evaluate credit quality.
  • Understand client needs and propose financial solutions that align with their objectives.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to build trust and credibility.
  • Contribute to the development of strategic plans and identify emerging trends.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment on business priorities.
  • Execute operational programs and support strategic initiatives effectively.
  • Conduct independent analyses to address strategic challenges.
  • Maintain a business plan focused on relationship management and customer retention.
  • Build rapport with clients to establish trust as a relationship manager.
  • Identify training needs and develop programs to address skill gaps.
  • Adhere to security protocols and ethical standards to prevent fraud and maintain integrity.
  • Ensure compliance with lending processes and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain confidentiality of customer and bank information.
  • Recognize risks and take appropriate actions to uphold operational integrity.
  • Work independently on complex tasks and contribute to broader organizational goals.

Qualifications:

  • 4 to 6 years of relevant experience with a post-secondary degree in a related field or equivalent education and experience.
  • Completion of the CMS Compass Program or equivalent knowledge is required.
  • Strong understanding of business banking products and lending processes.
  • Proven experience in customer sales and service.
  • Technical proficiency through education or business experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong collaboration and teamwork abilities.
  • In-depth analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to influence and make data-driven decisions.

Salary: $54, $101,500.00
