Position SummaryThe selected candidate will be part of the Legal Affairs department at Transat A.T. Inc., handling various responsibilities in commercial law, franchise law, litigation, and regulatory law.
Key Responsibilities- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts or other types of commercial agreements, including but not limited to supply contracts, confidentiality agreements, privacy agreements, IT service agreements, and service agreements.
- Prepare legal opinions based on factual circumstances and applicable law, ensuring effective risk management.
- Collaborate with other departments to provide timely and clear legal guidance aligned with corporate objectives.
- Offer daily legal support to business units by addressing inquiries related to compliance and contract interpretation.
- Advise clients on legal and regulatory obligations.
- Ensure contracts adhere to relevant legislation.
- Participate in internal projects involving legal, contractual, or privacy matters.
- Draft or revise internal policies or procedures as necessary.
- Work alongside external legal advisors.
- Respond to inquiries from regulatory authorities.
Fluency in both French and English (oral and written) is required, with Spanish proficiency being an asset. Experience in licensing agreements, software, and information technology is also beneficial.
