Job Summary

This role provides administrative support to a diverse group of patients, students, staff, and dentists within a clinical dentistry setting. The successful candidate will contribute to an environment that values the beliefs, needs, and contributions of a culturally diverse community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to dental students, dentists, staff, and community clinics.
  • Coordinate schedules and activities for patient care and student learning.
  • Process payments, deposits, and insurance claims.
  • Facilitate patient referrals for specialty services.
  • Provide excellent customer service to patients, students, and faculty.
  • Update policies and procedure manuals as directed.
Requirements
  • Completion of Grade 12 and relevant post-secondary education and work experience.
  • At least two years of recent work experience in a dental clinic.
  • Strong knowledge of dental terminology and procedure codes.
  • Experience with Dental Electronic Health Records.
  • Keyboarding skills and proficiency with MS Office.
Working Environment

This role requires the ability to multi-task with speed and accuracy in a busy clinical environment. The successful candidate will work independently to ensure the efficient operation of the dental clinic while providing front-line reception duties.
