About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Carpenter to join our team at Crosswood Construction. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of workmanship in the construction and renovation of residential and commercial properties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Estimation and Planning
    • Prepare detailed estimates of labour and material costs for construction and renovation projects.
    • Develop and implement project plans to ensure timely completion and budget adherence.
  • Site Management
    • Oversee the installation of building components, including foundations, floor beams, subflooring, walls, and roof systems.
    • Ensure compliance with building codes and regulations.
  • Skilled Tradesperson
    • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, and other materials.
    • Install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware.
  • Team Leadership
    • Supervise and coordinate the work of other tradespeople on site.
    • Provide guidance and support to ensure the successful completion of projects.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
    • 1 to less than 7 months of experience in the trade.
  • Language and Communication
    • Fluency in English.
  • Physical Demands
    • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
    • Physical stamina to perform manual labour.
