Luminary Contracting Inc is seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team. As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and safety of our construction projects.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and layout building sites in accordance with building codes and regulations.
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join various materials such as wood, wood substitutes, and steel to construct and renovate residential and commercial buildings.
- Build and install foundations, floor beams, subflooring, walls, and roof systems.
- Install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware to ensure a safe and secure living space.
- Estimate costs and materials to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Maintain, repair, and renovate existing structures to ensure they meet safety and building codes.
- Work in a fast-paced construction environment with varying weather conditions.
- Physically demanding work requiring manual labor and heavy lifting.
- Own and maintain necessary safety equipment and tools, including steel-toed safety boots, hard hat, and safety glasses/goggles.
- Work a standard 30-40 hour workweek with occasional overtime as required.
- 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in carpentry or a related field.
- Temporary employment opportunity.
- English language proficiency.
