Luminary Contracting Inc is seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team. As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for constructing, repairing, and renovating residential and commercial structures.
Key Responsibilities- Construction and Renovation: Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools, and build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems.
- Material Handling: Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials.
- Installation and Finishing: Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware.
- Estimation and Planning: Estimate costs and materials, and plan projects to ensure timely completion.
- Maintenance and Repair: Maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures in various settings.
- Work Conditions: Physically demanding work environment.
- Physical Capabilities: Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver heavy materials and tools.
- Personal Protective Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots, hard hat, and safety glasses/goggles.
- Language and Experience: Fluency in English, and 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in the trade.
