The Opportunity:

We are on the lookout for a motivated individual to enhance our underwriting support team.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Execute tasks promptly and accurately, including but not limited to:
  • Issuing policies
  • Entering bordereaux
  • Processing Broker of Record modifications
  • Managing policy cancellations, extensions, or mid-term adjustments
  • Handling various underwriting administrative duties as needed
  • Proactively offering suggestions for enhancements.
  • Staying updated on new workflows and underwriting bulletins
  • Understanding regional variations and collaborating to establish consistency across Markel Canada.
  • Maintaining regular communication with management regarding workload and priorities.
  • Participating in national team meetings and conveying essential information back to the underwriting support team.
  • Assisting in the successful adoption of new technologies and processes.
Essential Qualifications:
  • A genuine interest in commercial insurance products and their administration
  • Familiarity with the Canadian and Western insurance markets
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Willingness to adapt in a dynamic environment
  • Ability to respond swiftly to changing deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively
