Tenure-Track Assistant Professor in Oral Medicine

The College of Dentistry is seeking applications from qualified candidates for a full-time tenure-track position as an Assistant Professor specializing in Oral Medicine or Oral Medicine/Oral Pathology. The successful applicant will be responsible for:
- Delivering comprehensive didactic, pre-clinical, and clinical instruction.
- Supervising student research initiatives.
- Leading and engaging in research endeavors.
- Competing for external funding to support research activities.
- Participating in relevant administrative and service responsibilities.
This role requires the effective delivery of the College's curriculum in Oral Medicine and Oral Pathology, focusing on pre-clinical, clinical, and didactic teaching for undergraduate DMD students. Candidates with experience in preparing and teaching these subjects will be viewed favorably. Strong interpersonal communication skills and a solid understanding of dental education are essential.
Applicants must possess a DDS/DMD or equivalent qualification, along with a Certificate and/or Master's degree in Oral Medicine or Oral Medicine/Oral Pathology. Those with a PhD and relevant research experience will be considered ideal candidates. Eligibility for licensure by the College of Dental Surgeons of Saskatchewan, including academic licensure, is required. Certification from the National Dental Examining Board (NDEB) or eligibility to apply for the National Dental Specialty Examination (NDSE) is advantageous.
Compensation: Salary ranges for this position are as follows:
- Assistant Professor: $99,945 to $120,099
- Associate Professor: $120,099 to $140,253
- Professor: $140,253 to $163,766
There is potential for a starting salary above the standard bands in accordance with the applicable collective agreement. The position includes a comprehensive benefits package, which encompasses:
