Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Project Coordinator to join our team in Southwest Ontario (Hamilton). As a key member of our project management team, you will be responsible for providing support to project managers and ensuring the successful delivery of projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Aid project managers in obtaining shop drawings from manufacturers, suppliers, and subcontractors.
  • Prepare and log shop drawings for issue to the general contractor/owner and engineers, and follow up on their distribution.
  • Prepare O&M manuals and obtain necessary information from suppliers, manufacturers, and subcontractors.
  • Manage and distribute project-related documents and drawings to subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Enter budget information into Timberline/accounting system.
  • Complete project CCDCs as part of project close-out.
  • Enter change orders and distribute change notices/orders to subcontractors and suppliers.
Requirements
  • Post-secondary education in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 2-4 years of project coordination experience within the construction industry.
  • Previous experience working in the construction industry, particularly in field work, is an asset.
  • Demonstrated competency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with project or construction management software is an asset.
  • Strong attention to detail, reading, and writing skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Resourceful problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong team player with excellent working relationships with others.
