Position Overview

The Construction Project Coordinator plays a pivotal role in overseeing technical communications, documentation, purchase orders, invoicing, and maintaining relationships between our operational hub and client offices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage project documentation, including contracts, drawings, purchase orders, shop drawings, and all correspondence.
  • Review project contract scope against bid scope and address discrepancies with the General Contractor.
  • Prepare purchase order documentation for vendors and subcontractors based on project requirements.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of project specifications, drawings, and schedules during project handover.
  • Assist in coordinating subcontractors and facilitate field meetings.
  • Generate progress invoices on a regular schedule and coordinate billing issues with stakeholders.
  • Monitor progress billing and subcontractor billing to ensure cash flow is maintained.
  • Negotiate with subcontractors to secure favorable terms for the company.
  • Compile the Operations and Maintenance manual package throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Maintain as-built drawings and ensure all project invoicing is finalized upon completion.
  • Implement necessary tasks for project closeout and support field staff as needed.
  • Engage in project forecasting activities and follow-ups.
Qualifications
  • 2-5 years of project coordination experience in the construction sector.
  • Experience with Institutional, Commercial, Industrial, or mid-rise residential projects.
  • A diploma or degree in a construction-related field is preferred.
  • Licensing or Red Seal certification is advantageous.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple construction projects effectively.
  • Familiarity with software such as Accubid, Change Order, Procore, or similar tools.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to balance various tasks.
  • A valid driver's license in good standing.
  • Willingness to work from the office with flexibility for site visits as required.
