Seeking a detail-oriented Mechanical Project Coordinator to support project managers in Southwest Ontario (Hamilton) with budgeting, documentation, and coordination tasks.

Responsibilities:
  • Aid project managers in obtaining shop drawings from manufacturers, suppliers, and subcontractors.
  • Prepare and log shop drawings for issue to the general contractor/owner and engineers, and follow up on distribution.
  • Prepare O & M manuals, obtaining information from suppliers, manufacturers, and subcontractors.
  • Manage and distribute project-related documents and drawings to subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Enter budget information into Timberline/accounting system.
  • Complete project CCDCs as part of project close out.
  • Enter change orders and distribute change notices/orders to subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Apply the SMaC Recipe to daily tasks.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Post-secondary education in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 2-4 years of project coordination experience within the construction industry.
  • Previous experience working in the construction industry, particularly field work, is a strong asset.
  • Demonstrated competency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with project or construction management software is an asset.
  • Attention to detail, strong reading and writing skills, and effective communication.
  • Ability to work in an office and field environment, maintain excellent working relationships, and work on site.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
