About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Supervisor to join our UniFirst team. As a key member of our maintenance department, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of our facility equipment and identifying areas for process improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues using blueprints, schematics, and repair manuals.
  • Inspect and operate machinery to identify malfunctions and implement corrective actions.
  • Perform basic welding activities to repair facilities and equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and associated control systems.
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for facility and production assets.
  • Monitor and record boiler chemical and wastewater pre-treatment system testing results.
  • Manage and assign equipment maintenance, including repairs outside of standard hours.
  • Assume responsibility for all shifts in the maintenance department.
  • Oversee maintenance-related regulatory and environmental compliance requirements.
  • Ensure a safe working environment for maintenance staff.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; two-year technical degree preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience repairing industrial processing equipment in a production environment.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience supervising maintenance personnel preferred.
  • Maintenance administration experience, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and parts management.
  • Ability to read blueprints and schematics required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office required.
  • Experience with Hand & Power tools required.
  • Lockout/Tagout experience required.
