Position Overview

The Maintenance Lead is responsible for overseeing maintenance processes specific to the VeLOCity line, ensuring alignment with the facility's strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Directs line-specific maintenance operations to meet business goals.
  • Engages in daily direction-setting meetings and ensures the effective execution of maintenance strategies.
  • Manages the Preventive Maintenance (PM) Systems for Line 1, focusing on planning and scheduling.
  • Leads the Breakdown Elimination Daily Management System for Line 1.
  • Oversees workstreams associated with defect management systems and tools for Line 1.
  • Contributes to the formulation and execution of 90-day loss elimination strategies.
  • Provides guidance and recommendations to Team Leaders and members during direction-setting sessions.
  • Enhances Root Cause Analysis capabilities to address both chronic and sporadic line interruptions.
  • Focuses on improving Planned & Unplanned Downtime metrics, emphasizing line repair and maintenance costs, percentage of planned maintenance, completion rates of PMs, and reduction of breakdown incidents.
  • Develops the skills of line operators, acting as a technical mentor and resource.
  • Designs, implements, and maintains systems for data collection and analysis regarding critical product and process parameters; utilizes this data to identify equipment inefficiencies.
  • Collaborates with plant and line management to prioritize improvement initiatives.
  • Works to eliminate or mitigate prioritized losses through process or system modifications.
  • Participates in the daily direction-setting process, reporting outcomes, identifying opportunities, and requesting necessary resources.
  • Employs Reliability Engineering tools to enhance center-lining and loss reduction for Line 1.
  • Facilitates knowledge sharing and reapplication of best practices across processes, modules, and facilities.
  • Engages in personal development through corporate and external training opportunities.
  • Participates in scheduled maintenance stops and RCOs as required.
  • Provides consistent on-the-floor coaching, being accessible to operators to support their skill development.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Three to five years of progressive maintenance experience in a relevant sector.
  • Preferred one to two years of leadership experience.
  • Language Skills: Proficient in English, both verbal and written; capable of understanding and following instructions in English; able to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals; skilled in writing routine reports and delivering presentations.
  • Mathematical Skills: Competent in basic arithmetic operations and capable of interpreting data through graphs.
  • Reasoning Ability: Able to solve practical problems and interpret various forms of instructions.
  • Computer Skills: Familiarity with manufacturing software, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Outlook is essential.
  • Other Skills and Abilities: Strong leadership capabilities, effective presentation skills, and the ability to influence and secure necessary resources to achieve daily objectives.
