About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at UniFirst. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of our equipment and facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Equipment Maintenance: Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical problems, inspect and operate machinery and equipment, and perform basic welding activities to effect repairs.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Develop and implement schedules for preventive maintenance, inspect equipment, and perform repairs as needed.
  • Supervision: Supervise and train maintenance staff, assign tasks and responsibilities, and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards related to maintenance and facilities management.
  • Safety: Assume responsibility for all aspects of safety within the maintenance department, including confined space and lockout/tagout procedures.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; two-year technical degree in a relevant field preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience repairing industrial processing equipment in a production environment required; applicable military experience will be considered.
  • Skills: Ability to read blueprints and schematics, proficiency in Microsoft Office, experience using hand and power tools, and lockout/tagout experience required.
  • Certifications: Certification in a relevant field, such as CPMM or CMRP, preferred.
